Winter is here and the cold air and short days finds Big Tree taking a break from playing out to spend time with family and sit by warm fires. We are looking forward to the new year with all its boundless potential. Thanks to everyone who came out to shows, listened to the record, played music with us, told their friends about us, and gave us advice and thoughts in 2009! MAKIN MOVES

We are back on the road and behind the mixing desk this fall and winter. We have shows in new York & New England and putting finishing touches on a three song EP. The EP features the beautiful artwork of our friend good friend Matt Alie and should be released in early 2010. Last week we played a Halloween show with Akron/Family and had a heckavuh good time. This weekend we'll be playing Wesleyan University and Sarah Lawrence College with Megafaun and will be debuting some new acoustic material. Super excited! Be sure to keep your eyes open for our Daytrotter Session, which should be released within the next week. And be sure to check out the boutique page with some items available for purchase.

HECK YEAH WEST COAST

Freakin sweet! We just got back from our first tour to the West Coast! Our trusty van took us to amazing cities that we can't wait to return to. Thank you so much to everyone who came out to hear us! It was really an amazing month to say the least. We're back, we're tired, but we're ready to get back to it! This weekend takes us to Burlington and Montpelier Vermont, two cities we can't wait to see again. Next weekend brings us back to Boston! If you're in the area for any of these shows, please come, we'd love to see your smiling faces. We've got a bunch of new tunes and we're working on a little EP that we think you all might like to hear. In the meantime check out some new photos from the tour and a new video from Union Pool in Brooklyn. We love you all!

Friends! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to our recent Northeast tour! We're so thankful! Next stop, California! We're currently booking a tour for California for June. Let us know if you'd like to book us over there, or on the way out or back. We'd love to come see you! We have a boatload of new songs and we can't wait to let them off the leash. Much love friends!

We are psyched to announce that we are in the process of booking a tour of the northeast for mid-march! Papa's got a brand new van, and we're itching to hit the road. "BIG TREE" LP out now!

We are so very happy to announce the release of our first LP, "Big Tree." Each copy was screenprinted, packaged and numbered by the band with love. We were incredibly happy to be able to work with the talented John Cohrs of Spleenless Mastering, who did a wonderful job. This run was of 500, and we'll start on a second run soon enough! Friends! Our new record, "Big Tree" is fresh from the mastering house and we couldn't be happier! After months of recording this record ourselves in various living rooms with much joy and several struggles, we've come out with eleven tunes that we love. We're racing through post production right now, so stay tuned for news of a CD release party. We're very excited!

The cutting edge of electronicism! Here we, Big Tree, take a giant leap into the uncharted territory of space. That's right, cyber space! We're stepping where no tree has stepped before. This superfast world of information is cold and jarring, but someone must explore, we must push forward! We're not doing this for ourselves, but for the little guy. The Googles and the Microsofts out there, even the Apples, will thank us one day for paving the highway (the information super highway, if I may coin an appropriate term) to the FUTURE. I know, it's all very scary. Soon we will be androids, but that day is not today! Today we push forth into this "cyber" space. Today we are spacemen!
